Crumbly chocolate soil

The perfect decorative item for any dessert, chocolate soil is versatile and lasts for weeks.


Stuff you’ll need

65g ground almonds
65g caster sugar
35g plain flour
25g cocoa powder
½tsp fine sea salt
30g unsalted butter, melted

Get Stuck In

1. Preheat the oven to 150°C. Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the melted butter and stir until well combined and the mixture resembles fine crumbs.

2. Spread out the mixture on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until dry and crisp. Leave to cool completely before storing in an airtight container (the chocolate soil can be kept for several weeks).
